ISO 15189:2007
ISO 15189:2007 specifies requirements for quality and competence specific to medical laboratories.
This standard requires medical laboratories to develop their quality management systems. These systems can then be used to asses their own competence or by accreditation bodies in recognizing the competence of medical laboratories.
